Things are shaping up for our 2022 growing season - we've hired staff, fine-tuned our field plan and are in the midst of starting seedlings for the field and for sale. A few quick updates for everyone, as we dive into the busy time of year.
Our webstore is open for plant pre-orders, and will be up until April 30th. We have pickup and delivery options.
We will return to Ottawa Street Farmers' Market on Saturday April 16th or April 23rd. Our on-farm market will be open Sundays in May (starting May 8) for plants, and Thursdays from June to October.
The CSA is about 2/3 full, and we're excited to welcome some new members along with so many returning members. I've had a couple of questions about skip weeks for the CSA this year, and I've decided to add an option: if you'd like to skip two weeks over the course of the CSA season and NOT have them replaced, you can pay for your CSA share minus two weeks of boxes. This discount can be applied to anyone signing up from now on and those who have made a partial payment for their share at this point. Apologies in advance for any inconvenience, I will not be offering refunds for 2 weeks to those who have paid in full - those of you have done so will receive replacement veggies for any skipped weeks as usual. Thanks for understanding. If you've already signed up and would like to apply this to your share, please email me and I will update your invoice.
We also have a new depot pickup location: Simcoe Natural Foods located at 479 Queensway West in Simcoe. A great reason to stop in each week and pick up some healthy essentials! This depot is pending a minimum of members signing up for pickup.
This cold, snowy weather coming back is a real bummer, but we know Spring is around the corner....
